Mumbai: The Tata Institute of Social Sciences on Tuesday served an injunction notice on six protesting students who allegedly barged into the Registrar’s office earlier this month. A TISS official said the step is to ensure smooth functioning of the Institute.

“On March 23, the students intruded into the Registrar’s office and occupied it until the morning of March 24. Since then, the students have blocked the administrative section,” the official said.

Fahad Ahmad, general secretary, TISS Students’ Union, who has been named in the notice, said they had removed the blockade on Tuesday after a meeting with the administration.
