According to the Oshiwara police, the incident occured when a team of policemen were on an anti-chain snatching drive at Anand Nagar on Saturday.

The police said that police constable Sanjay Shelar (30), who was part of the drive, saw a helmetless biker, identified as Nitesh Singh Chauhan (28), approaching the barricades.
