Amit Patil was travelling with a female friend and was also heading towards Panvel. The incident took place in Kharpada near Pen. Patil was angered after Mr. Kosamkar refused to stop after damaging the rear-view mirror of his car.

Police Sub Inspector Nilesh Rajput said, “Patil immediately called up his friends from Kokhle village in Panvel and gave them the license plate number of Mr. Kosamkar’s SUV. Patil asked them to intercept the car at Palaspa.”

About seven people then stopped Mr. Kosamkar’s car and hurled abuses at the occupants, causing them to leave the car. The accused then damaged the Tavera and fled. Mr Kosamkar registered a case against the accused on Thursday.
