Film: Arts and Animal Welfare Festival

As part of Osianama’s ongoing international film festival, two films will be screened. The 1971 Bollywood film, Haathi Mere Saathi (168 mins), directed by M.A. Thirumugam tells the story of an orphaned child who shares a deep bond with elephant and starts a zoo. Documentary film One Lucky Elephant (84 mins) by American filmmaker Lisa Leeman traces the life of wild animals kept in captivity through the life of an elephant who is reluctant to perform in a circus. On till August 28.
