Sheena Bora murder: New evidence establishes Sanjeev Khanna’s involvement

A Jet Airways flight ticket to Mumbai on the day of Sheena Bora’s murder and mails from Google for recovery of her email account details is strong documentary evidence of Sanjeev Khanna’s involvement in the murder.

In a letter to the Mumbai police in September, which is part of the case charge sheet, Jet Airways gave details of flights taken by Indrani and Sanjeev in 2012. According to the airline’s document, Sanjeev travelled from Kolkata to Mumbai on flight 9W 2154 on April 24, 2012 – the day Sheena was murdered.

He travelled back to Kolkata on 9W 2151 the next day accompanied by Indrani.

Sanjeev leaves his trace in another paper trail pointing to his involvement. Using Indrani’s credit card, Mr. Khanna placed an order for an ‘Account Recovery Service’ for Sheena’s email id sheenabora@gmail.com for $ 2. In response, Google replied, “Thank you for providing information to help return Google Account sheenabora@gmail.com. At Google we take security very seriously, and after evaluating your responses we’ve determined that we’ll need more information to return this account to you.” Khanna forwarded this reply to Indrani.

Lawyer tight-lipped Asked about the material against Sanjeev, his lawyer Shreyans Mithare remained tight-lipped.

“I have not gone through the charge sheet. The process is going on. Therefore I cannot comment on any specific details,” Mr. Mithare told

In 2011, Sheena received a letter of acceptance from a college in UK for a management course.

Sheena had also applied to a full-time MBA programme at the Oxford Brookes University and her application was being “considered,” the institute’s letter said.
