Nine-year-old boy crushed under a bus

Mumbai: A nine-year-old boy was crushed under a school bus before his mother’s eyes while he was crossing the road to reach his residence in Nerul on Monday.

The accident happened when Samved Vidyadhar Taralkar, a student of Class II from NCRD’s Sterling School in Nerul, got down from his school bus.

Assistant Police Inspector Santosh Jadhav from Nerul Police Station said the driver of the bus, Govindkumar Amar Roy (26), a resident of sector 22 in Nerul, helped the child and his mother get an auto to the hospital, but did not present himself at the police station. He was later traced and arrested by the police.
