Mumbai: At least 500 police personnel will be deployed for the Justin Bieber show, scheduled to be held on May 10 at Nerul's DY Patil Stadium. The show is expected to be attended by 45,000 people.
Though the organisers have engaged private security agencies for crowd management and ticket checking , police will provide security at entrance and exit points and inside the venue. “Police personnel will be present among the audience in plainclothes, and the police control room will monitor activities via CCTV,” Hemant Nagarale, Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai, said.
He added, “The control room will have a public announcement system. The venue will be checked by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and will be under close scrutiny by drone cameras, which will send live footage to the control room.”

Organisers and the police will provide parking facilities for almost 15,000 vehicles, and shuttle services from parking areas to the venue. The police have instructed spectators to use designated parking lots.
Traffic diversion
To avoid traffic problems, the police have proposed a few changes. As per details, vehicles coming from Thane and Belapur will not be allowed take a right turn under the LP flyover, and will instead have to do so at Uran phata to reach Nerul. Similarly, no right turn will be permitted for vehicles going towards MIDC via LP junction, and motorists will have to take the Turbhe Road instead. Autorickshaws will not be allowed to ply on the DY Patil service road as it will be reserved for parking from Sai Sakshi Tours and Travels
