: Suspended All India Trinamool Congress MP and accused in the multi-crore Saradha scam Kunal Ghosh threatened to commit suicide before a city court on Monday.
Mr Ghosh, who is behind bars since November 2013, urged the Court to allow him to speak during the proceedings in Court.
“I am giving three days time. If action is not taken against those involved in the case or if I am not granted bail, I will commit suicide,” the MP said.

Mr Ghosh broke down before Metropolitan Magistrate Arvind Mishra saying that while he is left to rot in jail, those involved in the scam are freely roaming outside. He also pointed out that what he had said to the CBI during questioning was not reflected in the charge-sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The CBI, which was handed over the investigation in the Saradha scam in May 2014 by the Supreme Court, filed its first charge-sheet on October 22. In the charge-sheet, the CBI has charged Mr Ghosh along with company CMD Mr Sudipto Sen and his associate .
The Trinamool MP said that the Commissioner of the City Police has described Saradha Group chairman and managing director Sudipta Sen as a good person.

Mr Ghosh also said that he was a salaried employee of the media arm of the Saradha scam and was not involved in the business dealings of the Saradha Group.
During the day, Mr Ghosh along with other accused in the scam — Mr Sen and another accused Debjani Mukherjee were produced in court.
This is not the first time that Mr Ghosh has spoken out in the courtroom. Earlier he had suggested that CBI should question West Bengal Chief Minister in the Saradha scam. He has repeatedly said that higher ups in the State’s ruling party are the ones who have benefited from the scam and he was made a ‘scapegoat’.
