Withdraw road safety and transport bill: DMK

May 03, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:52 am IST - CHENNAI:

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Saturday urged the Centre to withdraw the Road Safety and Transport Bill 2014, observing it would weaken public transport in the States.

The Bill was “deceiving”, Mr. Karunanidhi said, adding that it would adversely impact several lakh workers employed in the transportation sector.
