The bodies of a Chennai-based couple, residents of Mogappair West, have been recovered from the site of the Agni Air plane crash near Jomsom in Nepal.
V. Gopi (58) and Swarnalakshmi (51) were in the ill-fated plane on the trip to Muktinath, a Hindu pilgrimage centre.
Latha, a resident of Vadapalani and L.S. Sudarshan, a temple priest from Kumbakonam, had also been killed in the accident.

All of them had booked their tickets through Anna Salai-based Sri Travels.
The couple had no children. Gopi runs a jewellery manufacturing unit and has a brother and a sister, said his sister Mallika. “We have not received the bodies and we don't know what to do,” she said in anguish.

Until Tuesday afternoon there was no indication about when the bodies of Latha and Sudarshan, who were identified on Monday soon after the crash, would be flown to Chennai.
The relatives were on tenterhooks as authorities told them that the Indian embassy was having difficulty in getting clearance to fly the mortal remains home.
