Trisha joins the cast of Rajini’s next film

Actor Trisha has joined the cast of Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures. Sun Pictures tweeted the announcement, saying they were happy to have Trisha onboard.

Taking to her social media pages, Trisha expressed her delight at the casting. In a career spanning across all the major south Indian languages, this will be her first collaboration with Rajinikanth.

She had recently made her debut in Malayalam opposite Nivin Pauly in the film

In Kollywood, Trisha has starred opposite Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Ajith, Vikram and Surya through her career and has in the past, expressed her desire to work with Rajinikanth.

The ambitious project, for which a part of the shooting has already taken place in Dehradun, has an ensemble cast which includes Vijay Sethupathy, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran, Bobby Simhaa among others.

Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film, which still remains untitled.

Actor Rajinikanth’s next release is expected to be director Shankar’s ‘2.0,’ which is scheduled to hit the screens on November 29 this year.
