The city traffic police have announced diversions in view of the Kapaleeshwarar temple float festival to be held on January 26, 27 and 28 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Vehicles will not be allowed to proceed towards the temple from Luz Junction via R.K. Mutt Road, from Kutchery Road via Mathalanarayanan Street, from Dr. Ranga Road via Venkatesa Agraharam Road, from St. Mary’s Road via R.K. Mutt Road, from East Chithrakulam Street via North Chithrakulam Street, from Mandaveli Street via Adam Street, from TSV Koil Street, West Chitrakulam Street, Sundareswarar Street and Nadu Street via East Mada Street.
Vehicles (including MTC buses) from Royapettah High Road and Kutchery Road proceeding towards Mandaveli and R.K. Mutt Road will have to go via Luz Junction, Luz Church Road, D’ Silva Road, Bhaktavachalam Road (Warren Road), Dr. Ranga Road, C.P. Ramasamy Road, V.K. Iyer Road, Devanathan Street, St Mary’s Road, R.K. Mutt Road–Mandaveli Junction to reach their destination.

All vehicles from Adyar proceeding towards Royapettah and Luz Junction will have to go via Mandaveli, V.K. Iyer Road, Sringeri Mutt Road, Warren Road, Dr. Ranga Road, East Abiramapuram 1st Main Road, Luz Avenue, Luz Church Road, Karpagamabal Nagar, Vivekananda College–P.S. Sivasamy Salai and Royapettah High Road to reach their destination.
The bus terminus near Mylapore tank will operate from Luz Church Road near Amrutanjan Company.
The following places have been earmarked for parking vehicles of temple visitors.

Vehicles coming from the south can park at P.S. Higher Secondary School playground on R.K. Mutt Road. Those coming from the east and north of Mylapore tank will be allowed to park on Luz Church Road opposite Kamadenu Kalyanamandapam.
Vehicles coming from the western side will be allowed to park on Venkatesa Agragharam Road under the MRTS bridge near Saibaba temple.
