Subsidised dialysis centre launched

Ensuring access: Speakers at the inauguration of the dialysis unit.

For benefit of the underprivileged suffering from kidney related ailments, a subsidised dialysis centre was launched by Fairfax India Charitable Foundation, Tamil Nadu Kidney Research Foundation (TANKER) and Rotary Club of Madras West at Tiruverkardu.

The Tiruverkardu Dialysis Centre will have 12 machines that will cater to about 3,000 patients in and around the area. The centre aims to provide affordable services to the needy. The unit was inaugurated by Prem Watsa, CEO and Chairman of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited.

Rotary District Governor Natarajan Nagoji and Latha Kumaraswami of TANKER Foundation also spoke .
