The CMBT police on Wednesday arrested a paramedical student from Puducherry in Koyambedu for allegedly possessing 1 kg of ganja.
While Grade-I constable Manimaran was patrolling on Wednesday, he spotted smoke from an auto parked in Koyambedu.
A youth identified as Najumon, 20, who was smoking ganja was caught by the constable.

A huge quantity of the contraband was found in his bag.
During enquiry, he told the police that he procured 1 kg of ganja from Vicky and Vignesh of Aminjikarai. Najumon was arrested.
