President to preside over Madras varsity convocation

President Ram Nath Kovind will be the chief guest at the 160th convocation of the University of Madras.

University Vice-Chancellor P. Duraisamy said the President had given his consent to be the chief guest at the 160th convocation, which will be held on May 5 at 10.30 a.m.

The convocation would be held at the University Centenary auditorium.

According to a press release, application for admission to the convocation for Ph.D holders can be purchased at the University enquiry counter for ₹25. Alternatively, the application forms may be downloaded from the University website,

www.unom.ac.in . The last date for submission of filled application form is April 27, according to a release.
