Norwegian Embassy outsources receipt of visa applications

Royal Norwegian Embassy has signed an agreement to outsource the receipt of applications for visa and work/residence permits to Cox & Kings Global Services. This service came into effect from July 27. Hereafter, applications may be submitted on the following address: Cox & Kings Global Services Norway Visa Application Collection Centre, Cox and Kings Office, No. 10, Karuna Corner, Spurtank Road, Chetpet. Ph: 2820 9500.

According to a press release, hereafter applications should be submitted to the Cox & Kings Global Services’ Visa Application Centers and not to the Norwegian Embassy in Delhi or to the Norwegian Consulate General in Mumbai or to the Consulates in Chennai and Calcutta.

Announcing the move, Ann Ollestad, Ambassador of Norway to India, said, “By using the new Visa Application Centers spread across India, most applicants will experience a shorter journey to submit applications.”

Cox and Kings Global Services will assume responsibility for preliminary tasks which includes all tasks prior to the actual processing of the applications, such as checking/screening applications and making sure that the required documentation has been submitted.

They will also help in providing information to applicants about Norwegian and Schengen regulations and procedures, answering inquiries from applicants, managing appointments for interviews, delivering applications and passports on a daily basis to the Norwegian Embassy and returning the passports to the applicants after the application has been processed. Applications will still have to be registered online at https://selfservice.udi.no but it will not be possible to register appointments with the Embassy anymore.
