Naresh Gupta releases Gandhian manifesto

Harijan Sevak Sangh has released the Gandhian manifesto ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections, urging political parties to follow the Model Code of Conduct, avoiding activities that may aggravate existing differences between castes and communities. According to a press release, former Chief Electoral Officer Naresh Gupta released the manifesto on Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya campus on Sunday. “The need of the day is honesty and total prohibition,” said Mr.Gupta. The manifesto stressed on the need for avoiding corrupt practices and offences under the election law. The manifesto also pointed to the need for avoiding any appeal to communal feelings ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
