Meeting to mark Cancer Survivors' Day

The Gastrointestinal Patient Support Group, based in Chennai, will hold a meeting here on Sunday to observe Cancer Survivors' Day.

Any survivor or a family member who wishes to share his/her experience can participate in this programme, which will be attended by sufferers, survivors, family members, doctors, nurses, media personnel, and philanthropists.

The theme of the meeting is ‘Common gastrointestinal cancers – what we should know'. Survivors, who have recovered from gastrointestinal cancers and leading a normal life now will also speak. The programme is to be held between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. , at the Seminar Hall of the Madras Medical College.
