Ferticon 2019, the seventh international symposium on reproductive medicine, was inaugurated on Sunday in the city.
Organised by Aakash Fertility Centre and Hospital, the event was held in association with the Indian Association for Sexology, World Association of Sexology (WAS) and the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI).
Thamizhachi Thangapandian, MP from Chennai South, was the chief guest.

She presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Jaideep Malhotra, president, Indian Society for Reproductive Medicine.
A female sexual health centre, which would function at the Aakash Fertility Centre and Hospital, was launched on the occasion.
