Students and teachers of Madras Christian College, Tambaram visited South Korea as part of a tie-up with educational institutions in the southeast Asian country.
The college also received post-graduate and research scholarships from Chonbuk National University in Jeonju for its students in the areas of agriculture, biology, microbiology, arts and culture.
Chonbuk University has also expressed its interest in visiting MCC.

R.W. Alexander Jesudasan, principal, inked partnerships with other institutions including Hanshin, Kyongpook National University, Chosun University, Sungkyunkwan and Sungkonghoe universities, a note from the college said.
A professor from MCC will also be teaching in an international programme in South Korea. The team also visited Saemangeum, an estuarine tidal flat on the coast of the Yellow Sea, met the Mayor of Songnam city, spoke in Korean, tasted various cuisines and followed their customs during their stay.
