K. Ganesan (56), a mason, allegedly hanged himself at his house on Sunday, after assaulting his young daughter. He was living with his wife and two daughters in New Perungalathur.
On Sunday, his wife and their elder daughter went to attend a function. When they returned, they noticed the younger daughter lying unconscious and Ganesan hanging from the ceiling. The girl was rushed to a private hospital. Ganesan's body was shifted to Tambaram Taluk Government Hospital in Chromepet. Ganesan, in a fit of rage had beaten his younger daughter, who fell down unconscious.
