‘Madras Week' programmes

The following programmes will be organised on Friday as part of ‘Madras Week.'

A meet on ‘Eminent social workers of Chennai' will be organised by Inner Wheel Club at Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls Higher Secondary School, Mylapore, at 11 a.m.

INTACH conducts a competition for college students on ‘Dialects of Madras Presidency' at Queen Mary's College from 11 a.m.

A panel discussion on ‘Urban public realm in Chennai' is being organised by the Architecture department of Anna University at 4 p.m. Loyola College is organising a poetry reading session on ‘Post-colonial Madras' at Studio Palazzo, Alwarpet, at 6 p.m. Chithra Madhavan delivers a talk on ‘Temples of George Town' at Sir M.Ct.M. School for Boys, Pursawalkam, at 6 p.m. A talk on ‘Chennaiyin Valarchiyum Abhiviruthiyum' by K.R.Thooyavan, will be held at IEI Auditorium, Chepauk, at 6 p.m.

V.Sriram speaks on ‘Chennai, the crazy city,' at Madras Gymkhana Club, Anna Salai, at 6.30 p.m. Vijay Nagaswami delivers a lecture on ‘Sex and the city' at Freemasons Hall, Egmore, at 6.30 p.m.
