Kauvery Hospital launches critical care app

February 08, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - CHENNAI:

Kauvery Hospital has launched a critical care app that will act as a quick reference guide for clinic staff to respond to acutely ill patients, a release said.

The app will provide a systematic and structured approach for staff, and has been developed in Chennai as a collaborative effort with the Greater Manchester Critical Care Network, the UK. The app helps reduce damage caused by sepsis: it will support doctors to quickly assess and identify patients with a ‘sepsis screening tool. In addition to clinical pathways, the app will also provide an aid to promote good communication and handover between healthcare professionals. The app, developed with technical support from Med India, will be free to download on iOS and Android platforms.
