Job racket busted

Mambalam police busted a gang which organised a fake job interview for nearly 100 aspirants at a hotel in T. Nagar and collected Rs. 80,000 each from the applicants while posing as Larsen &Toubro executives. Six persons including a young woman were arrested and fake documents seized from them.

Police sources said suspects Krishna Kumar Bhagat (28) from Jharkhand and Sivakumar (60), Raj Kumar (33), Anooj Sukku (23), Anil Gautham (30) and Nisha Guptha (23), all from Delhi, conducted the interviews from Friday morning and conned many young job aspirants. After receiving a tip, Mambalam police team reached the hotel but the gang slipped away. But, the suspects were soon arrested on Ranganthan Street in T. Nagar.

Interrogations revealed that the gang had also conducted bogus campus interviews at engineering colleges in Kancheepuram and Coimbatore in the name of Yes Bank and issued fake appointment orders to students.
