Four get life imprisonment

A sessions court in Poonamallee on Tuesday sentenced four persons to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of a 30-year-old man in Ambattur in 2013.

The victim, Niranjan, had questioned the gang when they teased his aunt. Later, the gang had attacked him in Oragadam. He had died on the spot.

Then Ambattur Inspector George Miller Ponraj had arrested the accused. Following a trial, the judge convicted and sentenced the five to undergo life imprisonment and imposed a ₹5,000 fine on each.
