Raghavendran Ganeshan is among those missing in Brussels

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Saturday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention to trace Raghavendran Ganeshan, a native of Tamil Nadu, who is listed among the persons missing in the recent bomb blasts in Brussels in Belgium.

Stating that his wife had recently delivered a baby, Ms. Jayalalithaa said his family, including parents, was extremely anxious about his safety and whereabouts.

“Raghavendran Ganeshan is the eldest son of his parents who hail from Tamil Nadu. His young wife is currently living in Chennai, after delivering the first child,” she wrote. “The whole family is extremely anxious to hear word of him and to know about his whereabouts and safety. They have appealed to me to help trace their son.”

“I request you to kindly instruct the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Brussels to provide the family all necessary assistance to trace Mr Raghavendran Ganeshan at the earliest. This assistance would be of great help and solace to the very worried family,” she said in her letter, a copy of which was released to the media here.
