The death toll in the building collapse in Chennai rose to 11 with the retrieval of seven more bodies by Sunday afternoon.The victims included including three women. A total of 19 people have been rescued and are undergoing treatment at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College.

>June 29, 2014Through the rescue operations, which went on through Saturday night, seven more bodies were retrieved from the debris by Sunday afternoon. Among the victims, 10 were labourers on the site. One person, Ganesh (38), died when the building collapsed on his house, which was in the adjoining street, the Fire and Rescue teams said.
