Roshini wins national-level contest

K.R. Roshni, a Class V student of SBOA School and Junior College, Anna Nagar, won the first place at “2012 National-Level Painting Contest on Energy Conservation.”

She received the prize from President Pranab Mukherjee on the occasion of the National Energy Conservation Day function held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, recently.

This contest is being held since 2005 for students from Class IV to VI by Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency.

Roshni had also excelled in Shankar’s International Children’s Painting Competition and All-India Camel Colour Contest. She was felicitated by Lioness Council, Lions Club International, District 324-A5 with the title Varnavarshini for winning more than a 100 prizes in drawing contests at district, State, national and international levels.
