Three held in jobs scam

Three persons who collected Rs. 6.38 crore from over 160 job aspirants by promising them employment at the Madras High Court were arrested by the Central Crime Branch on Saturday. The culprits issued fake call letters forging the signature and seal of the Registrar General.

According to police , a team led by Assistant Commissioner C. Jayasingh probed the racket following a complaint by the Assistant Registrar General.

Investigations revealed that Prabhakar Sathiyakumar (54), a clerk for advocates on the High Court premises, promised the victims various posts including sweeper, driver and clerical posts and collected upto Rs. 3 lakh each from applicants. With the assistance of Anandhasayanam (60) and Mallika (44), he printed fake government call letters.
