The bail plea of a 24-year-old car driver, who hit a three-year-old boy on July 3, seriously injuring him in the legs, was rejected by a Sessions Court on Friday.

S. Geetha (40) of D’Miller’s Road was feeding her son, Hrithik Roshan (3), outside his school in Choolai on July 3, when they were hit by a car driven by Rahul Dhoka (24). The boy was injured in both legs.

He was admitted to Government Stanley Medical College Hospital, and the doctors there amputated his legs. Geetha too sustained injuries.

However, the court dismissed Rahul’s bail plea.
