Case filed against Vaiko

Police filed a case against MDMK general secretary and People’s Welfare Front coordinator Vaiko for alleging that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had stashed thousands of crores of rupees inside a sprawling bungalow at Siruthavur in Kancheepuram district. Police sources said Mr. Vaiko and a Tamil TV Channel, which had telecast his speech, were charged under various sections of IPC. Addressing an election meeting in Tirunelveli on Monday, he said the bungalow was being used to store at least Rs. 2,000 crore.
