Businessman dies of gunshot wound in Chennai

A businessman was found dead with a gunshot wound by his close relative at Sowcarpet here on Monday night.

According to police, Sudeesh Sharma (51) of Perumal Mudali Street in Sowcarpet was shot at point blank range. The victim died soon after admission to the Government General Hospital.

Police are investigating the source of the weapon and whether it was licensed, the sources said.
