Boy falls, critically injured in Tiruvottiyur

A nine-year-old boy slipped and fell from the terrace of his house while playing. He suffered severe head injuries and is in a critical condition in hospital.

Tiruvottiyur police identified the victim as Karimullah, a resident of Beerbailwan in Thangal, Tiruvottiyur and a class IV student of a private school in the area.

The accident took place around 10 p.m. on Wednesday when the boy was playing on the first-floor terrace.

He slipped and fell and suffered severe head injuries. His parents and neighbours rushed him to a private hospital nearby from where doctors referred him to the Government Stanley hospital.
