Canada will send a large delegation for the Global Investors Meet (GIM) to be held here in May.

Stating this in his interaction with Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Chris Alexander, Canadian Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, said that while Canadian enterprises would be interested in furthering the cooperation in sectors such as automobile and auto components, agro and marine food processing, further cooperation was possible in information technology, biotechnology and wind and solar power, an official release said.

The Chief Minister mentioned about the existence of 42 Canadian companies, including many joint ventures in the State, and referred to the “immense potential” for cooperation in various fields including skill development, especially technical education.
