The Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry has prohibited five advocates, who were allegedly involved in a case of murder of another advocate at Egmore last month, from practising before courts and tribunals till disciplinary proceedings against them is completed.

Soon after the elections to the Egmore Bar Association (EBA), K.Stalin, an advocate, was murdered in front of the court premises.

In a press release, council Chairman D.Selvam said that the incident brought shame to the advocates. Hence, the ‘prohibitory order’ was being issued against A.Michael, K.Rajesh, A.Charles, R.Natarajan and C.P.Naresh Kumar.
