Traffic regulations for buses

The Chennai Suburban Police have announced traffic regulations with effect from Friday for government and private buses in connection with the commencement of work on the grade separator at the Porur intersection.

A release said that at present, buses from Bangalore going towards the Chennai moffusil bus terminus in Koyambedu travelled through Poonamallee, Porur, Kathipara and Vadapalani. Henceforth, all government and private buses from Poonamallee have to travel on the service road near Saveetha Dental College, enter Poonamallee High Road, reach Maduravoyal intersection before reaching CMBT after crossing the roundabout at Koyambedu. Government and private buses from CMBT to Bangalore too have to take the same route in the opposite direction, the release said.
