Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy has condemned the black-flag demonstration and subsequent violent incidents at the Madras High Court during the unveiling of the statue of Ambedkar.
It was a ‘matter of shame' that the incident had happened in the presence of Chief Minister. The demonstration and the alleged attack on protesters and media persons by some people clearly showed that there was no control of law and order in the State, Dr.Swamy told newsmen here on Wednesday.
Dr. Swamy said his case before the Delhi High Court seeking permission to prosecute Communications Minister A.Raja was coming up for hearing on May 18.

He also demanded a new law on telephone tapping as the present Act was enacted in 1885 and had become outdated for wireless phones.
He demanded that the Central government focus on the real end beneficiaries of the Indian Premier League. The Centre should find out who allowed the IPL to bid for players in dollars and make payments in dollars violating RBI norms.
Regarding seizure of a cell phone from Nalini in Vellore Central Jail, Dr. Swamy said she was in possession of the phone for over six months with the alleged connivance of prison officials. The officials were forced to seize the phone as another inmate of the prison demanded a similar concession, Dr. Swamy said.
