Stalin calls for training programmes in educational institutions

Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday called upon the State Skill Development Mission to prepare an action plan for conducting short-term skill development training programmes in schools, colleges and industrial training institutes.

Chairing a meeting of the Mission at the Secretariat, Mr. Stalin also wanted the body to improve upon the existing scheme of training programmes and constitute district-level skill development committees.

Among those who attended the meeting were K.S. Sripathi, Chief Secretary and P. Selvam, Additional Chief Secretary and the head of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department.
