The Tamil Nadu government has promoted six police officers as Superintendents of Police. R.Velayutham, Additional Superintendent of Police, Prohibition and Enforcement Wing, Namakkal district, has been promoted as SP and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Coimbatore City, in the existing vacancy.
L.Ramadoss, Additional Superintendent of Police, Crime, Vellore, is promoted as SP and posted as DC, Secretariat Security, Chennai; and S.Pe.Murugesan, Additional Superintendent of Police, Prohibition and Enforcement Wing, Cuddalore, is promoted as SP and posted to the Anti-Dacoity Cell, Chennai.
M.Karunanidhi, Additional Superintendent of Police, has been promoted and posted as SP, Security- I, CID, Chennai; A.Mariappan, Additional Superintendent of Police, Police Computer wing, SCRB, Chennai, has been posted as SP, Central Investigation Unit, Prohibition Offences, Chennai; and P.K.Senthilkumari, DC, Secretariat Security, has been posted as SP, EOW Headquarters, Chennai.
