Shell, (dealing with technology and innovation), in partnership with British Council India, has introduced a scholarship programme for Class IX and X students. The test will be held in six cities including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai in December.
Besides English, the test papers will be available in six regional languages — Hindi, Tamil, Bangla, Marathi, Kannada and Gujarati.
The top three scorers from each of the locations will receive the regional level award. The three toppers (based on marks scored) from amongst these regional winners will receive the national level award. A student can win two prizes — the Shell Junior Regional Science Scholar Award and the Shell Junior National Science Scholar Award.

Eighteen regional winners will get a scholarship of Rs. 50,000 each and the three national winners Rs. 75,000 each. The mentor teachers of the regional and national winners will receive the ‘Science Excellence Award,’ which includes an opportunity to visit the National Science Centre, U.K. for a one-week workshop.
The last date for registering the school is October 15.
