Photography enthusiasts display work at Confluence 2016

Ramanindhran was excited as he was busy interacting with the audience and explaining his photo display at Confluence 2016, an exhibition held by the Photography Society of Madras (PSM) at the Lalit Kala Akademi, on Wednesday.

From pictures of rare animals and birds; temples and Burmese tribes; Grand Canyon and Lake Placid there was an eclectic mix of themes in the exhibit.

“All these pictures were clicked only by our members,” said Thomas T Abraham, President of PSM.

“This was taken in Grand Canyon. Our members have travelled far and wide and clicked these pictures. We are happy we could put them on display and show the public,” he said.

As many as 81 photographers cum members of PSM had put up over 300 pictures at the event.

“This is a great platform indeed,’ said Smita Joshi, final year Media Management student at MOP Vaishnav College and one of the exhibitors. “I love taking photos, it has helped me discover myself, plus this organisation and its people have helped me improve and learn more. I hope I continue to become better at it,” she said.
