A team of officials of the Bureau of Indian Standards, Southern Regional office, on Wednesday conducted an enforcement operation on a water-bottling plant in Thirupanthiyur.
According to a press release, the officials conducted a search operation after receiving information on misuse of the ISI mark by the packaged drinking water unit. The team seized 20-litre pet jars filled with drinking water. The printed label on the jars had the ISI mark with an expired licence number, said the release.
