Pre-recorded voice

Giving details about the system, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) M. Ravi said that a pre-recorded voice would be activated by a sensor whenever a vehicle crossed the ‘stop line'. The alert message that goes ‘Attention please! you have crossed the stop line, please go back' would be repeated in English and Tamil.

“We are introducing this as a trial measure. Depending on the response, it will be extended to other important junctions,” he said.
