Madras Week programmes

The following programmes are being organised on Sunday as part of the ‘Madras Week'. A photowalk from St.Thomas Mount to Veteran Lines, will be conducted by Chennai Photowalks, from 7 a.m. The Madras Day Open Quiz is being held at the Lady Sivaswamy Ayyar Girls Higher Secondary School, Mylapore, at 2 p.m. A craft workshop for children ‘Vanna Kolathil Naveena Kalai' will be held at Hotel Green Park, at 2 p.m.

A talk on the ‘Green grandeur of Madras' is being delivered by Pauline Deborah at Studio Palazzo, 7, Seethammal Road, Alwarpet, at 6 p.m.

A storytelling programme on ‘Historical monuments of Singara Chennai' by Supraja Balaji is being conducted at Vanilla Children Place, 89, Bishop's Garden, Greenway's Road, R.A.Puram, at 5 p.m.

V.Sriram speaks on ‘Chennai, the crazy city' at Hotel Green Park at 5.30 p.m.

Industrialist Nalli Kuppuswami Chetty delivers a talk ‘The T.Nagar I knew' as part of the Chennai Heritage Lecture series at Hotel Raintree, St.Mary's Road, at 6.30 p.m.

Historian Chithra Madhavan talks about the ‘Temples along the ECR' at Hotel Green Park at 7 p.m.

Alliance Francaise organises a Madras Day docu fest ‘Frames of Chennai' at its premises on College Road., Nungambakkam, at 4.30 p.m.

BIG FM, Chennai Corporation and Hindustan University organise a programme to mark the 371st Chennai Day at Elliots Beach, Besant Nagar, at 4.25 p.m.
