An advocate accidentally shot himself while cleaning his revolver at his house in Saidapet on Saturday. He was admitted to a hospital and his condition is said to be stable.
Saidapet police identified the victim was Shanmugaraj (56), a resident of Bharati Nagar, West Saidapet. The incident occurred around 8.30 p.m. when he was cleaning the weapon on the occasion of Saraswathi Pooja. A bullet accidentally fired from the revolver pierced his right hand.
