The Chennai Corporation on Sunday organised a drive to create awareness on the role of residents in mosquito control.
Inaugurated an awareness rally in T. Nagar on Sunday, Mayor M. Subramanian said over 1,050 malaria workers were part of the mosquito control drive.

A total of 30 groups of workers have been formed to prevent mosquito breeding, he said.
Over 900 houses were screened and five tonnes of material such as tyre and plastic was removed on Sunday.
