HC Madurai Bench to get CISF cover from July 1

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court is likely to get Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) protection from July 1, as the State government on Monday informed the court that the works facilitating the deployment would be completed by this month-end.

Recording the submission made by the PWD, the First Bench headed by Chief Justice S.K. Kaul said, “It is expected that CISF will be deployed in Madurai Bench by the end of this month. PWD is stated to be concluding the related works.

The department should also expedite the work for renovation of the residential area for CISF being carried out in Chennai Port Trust.”
