The UPA government is likely to table final draft of two important Bills pertaining to education — one on the entry of foreign universities and the other on curbing capitation fee — during the winter session of Parliament beginning next month, Union Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs V. Narayanasamy said here on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference, Mr. Narayanasamy said the proposed Bills were now before a Parliamentary standing committee for final touches before being tabled in Parliament.
The government was also keen on introducing the Women's Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha, Mr. Narayanasamy said. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was expected to convene an all-party meeting to facilitate smooth passage of the Bill, which seeks 33 per cent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State legislatures.

The Union government, which had made handsome allocations to Tamil Nadu for various Centrally-sponsored schemes, was also committed to the cause of rehabilitating Sri Lankan Tamils, he said.
