Dr. JSN Murthy, VC, Sri Ramachandra University, has been elected fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburg. He is already a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow.
An eminent cardiologist, Dr. Murthy had earlier been HOD Cardiology, SRU, and had worked in the department of cardiology, Southern Railway Hospital, Perumbur, from 1977 to 1994. He was trained in cardiology there and at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London. He was a scholar of British Council, 1987. He was associated with Higher Education Link Scheme (HELS).
