Collectors’ conference from tomorrow

A conference of District Collectors and police officers will be held on Thursday and Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi at the Secretariat.

A release from Chief Secretary K.S. Sripathi said the conference would begin with a joint session. The Chief Minister would make the presidential address, which would be followed by a discussion on law and order issues with the Director-General of Police, Additional Directors-General of Police, Zonal Inspectors-General of Police, Superintendents of Police and District Collectors.

The developmental schemes would be discussed with Secretaries, heads of departments and Collectors. The Finance Minister, the Deputy Chief Minister and Ministers would participate.
